"Grandma, Will I...?"

I love getting advice and listening to my grandmother. I love her so much and respect her. She says whatever she wants when it comes down to issues and really "tells it like it is." She also receives much respect from everyone who meets her. So when I asked her this question, I knew she was going to tell me what I didn't want to hear. (Forethought: I asked my mom the same question and her answer was yea, sure. One day. lol thanks mom)

Scene: Sitting in the living room.
Me: Grandma. Will I ever get married?
Grandma: Well. I don't know. I look at the guys now these days and think, they are so different from my day in age. With all the young black men in jail, uneducated and the he-shes to the she-hes, you can't tell now a days, I really don't know. If it is meant to be then, you will. You just have to go through the ups and downs and let downs and he'll come around. And then you are young. You don't have anything to worry about. But I will say, no relationship will thrive without God.
