My Love Pieces

So I stumbled across this video on Youtube and I was just amazed at how Bey looks :) And I all I could think about was #swag I have the DVD and love it!!

So... I absolutely love this song. However, Leave it up to Rih Rih to make a beautiful song not so beautiful with a grungy video. Check it out below (before you read my comments or read my comments and then watch... it doesn't really matter the order) Comments: I love this song. Did I say that already? So when I hear it I think, love, passion, and just beauty. Nothing like what Rihanna did in her video. I mean I know she is different and wants to make a statement and all but just like the "Every girl in the world" video, I was hoping that she would stick to her girlie image that she was acquiring but yea she totally threw me for a loop, circle, wheelie, pinwheel, all of the above. The pelvis thrusting, the grinding on the floor... ummm not exactly was I thinking for the video for this song. So now, when I hear this song I will see this crazy video and I'm not to happy about that. :(

So I was actually looking for a video on YouTube for pin up hair styles and I came across a video that had a soundtrack, that took my focus literally off my hair and made me take a look at MY soul. Seriously. The title of the song was "Love Me So Naturally" and the words spoke directly to me. This is day 2 of my listening to her album, even considering purchasing it (support her music). This artist is talented and just all around awesome. Her name is Alicia James... Her sultry voice and words are what our black women need to hear. The appreciation of our natural beauty, our skin, our curves and our unique features that women from other races, wish and (pay) to have. I would say she is the modern day India Aire because of her lyrics but her upbeat rhythms is what makes it more modern (to me).
