Savannah State University National Alumni Association - Metro Atlanta Chapter Fundraiser

Image
Savannah State University National Alumni Association Metro Atlanta Chapter is one of the largest alumni chapters of the university. The chapter recently hosted a fundraiser at the local Applebee’s Restaurant in Atlanta, Ga., to raise funds for scholarships to be given to high school graduates that want to attend Savannah State to further their education after high school. April Dobbs, President of the Metro Atlanta Chapter , has a main goal to reach to recent graduates and the younger graduates of the university so that they may know and see the benefits of being active in the alumni chapter and the power of the alumni voice in making decisions and changes at the university. Dobbs wants to break down the perception of what the alumni association actually is and how beneficial is for graduates to get active and remain active so that they will see how powerful the alumni voice is to the university.
